Lynn Forbes celebrates AKA’s 36 b-day
Lynn and Tony Forbes celebrated their son, slain rapper AKA’s 36th birthday with a visit to his grave with Kairo Forbes and Nadia Nakai.
ynn “Glammy” Forbes celebrated her son, slain rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, popularly known as AKA’s 36th birthday by visiting his grave, and she shared a birthday tribute on Instagram on Sunday 28 January.
LYNN FORBES CELEBRATES AKA’S 36TH BIRTHDAY
Sunday 28 January marked slain rapper AKA’s 36th birthday. This was the first birthday his family had to celebrate without him. The rapper passed away just two weeks after his 35th birthday in 2023. AKA was shot dead outside of Wish Restaurant on Florida Road, Durban on 10 February 2023.
Lynn Forbes, his mom took to Instagram to share a video of the candles she lit beside a photo of herself with her son. Take a look…
“Today, 36 years ago, I gave birth to you. What an incredible blessing you are and always will be 88~♾️ 💜,” she wrote.

THE FORBES FAMILY VISITS THE RAPPER’S GRAVE
Lynn, along with her ex-husband Tony Forbes, AKA’s daughter Kairo Forbes and his girlfriend at the time of his death, rapper Nadia Nakai, visited his grave on his birthday. AKA shared Kairo Forbes with DJ Zinhle. The grieving family sang happy birthday to the Fela in Versace hitmaker.

Tony also shared an Instagram post in celebrate of his son’s birthday.
“I know you are having a good time at your heavenly party with Ma, Pa Harold, Pa Derek, aunty Delia and aunty Wendy. Hope Ma cooked you spicy rice, roast potatoes, chicken, leg of lamb, trifle…We had that today at your Mums and we missed you at the table but we know you are being spoiled. We also went to St. Michael’s your church, sang one of your fav hymns. I missed being able to sing it with you. But I know you were there boy ❤️❤️❤️❤️,” read the post.
