South African hip-hop rapper Big Zulu shared the pictures of his mother celebrating her birthday on 7 March.

Big Zulu remains one of the country’s most talented and famous hip-hop musicians. The Ivolovolo hitmaker made headlines when he rose to stardom in 2016 with his song Donsa Nkabi.

Since then, he has shown his quality in and outside South Africa, winning several awards. With such a fast rise in music, some fans had been looking at Big Zulu’s family.

Like AKA and other celebrities, fans also wanted to know more about Big Zulu’s family. It seemed fans knew much about his love life from the days he got arrested for allegedly assaulting his baby mama.

Putting aside Big Zulu’s birthday, we looked at the rapper’s late but fast rise. Big Zulu found his breakthrough when he was already 30 years old.

This was a little older than when some of his hip-hop artists in the country, like Cassper Nyovest and Nasty C, rose to the spotlight.

According to Wikipedia, he won awards in his first few years, including eight in 2021 alone. After that, he won his latest Best Duo/Group award at the 17th Metro FM Music Awards in 2023.

Besides his rise in singing, he became a businessman and founded Inkabi Records.

He has also been doing a lot of charity work recently, donating laptops and printers to Obonjaneni Primary School.

He also partnered with Splitz as an ambassador for Carvela.
