Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) activist Mbuyiseni Ndlozi shared a picture of his mother celebrating her birthday on 1 February.

Mbuyiseni remains one of the most influential politicians in EFF since its formation. Over the years, he had been very popular, with his singing being a big part of his influence in the opposition.

With over 500 thousand Instagram followers, Mbuyiseni has grown to be one of the most followed opposition activists in the country. With such a decorated political profile, many of his EFF followers see him as family.

Despite knowing much about Ndlozi, not many of those followers knew much about his actual family, especially his mother. Mbuyiseni shows one of his close family members, his mother wishing her a happy birthday.

NDLOZI’S POLITICAL JOURNEY

Putting aside his mother’s birthday, Mbuyiseni Ndlozi had a long and decorated career as a politician. According to Wikipedia, Ndlozi developed an interest in politics back in 1992 when the apartheid police force arrested his uncle for his involvement in the underground activities of the liberation movement.

However, he started being actively involved at the University of the Witwatersrand. Ndlozi joined several youth groups, including the African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) and the Young Communist League (YCL).

Since then, the MP has been heavily involved in politics, working alongside Julius Malema.
