Mr JazziQ accused of ‘sexual harassment’

Mr JazziQ is making headlines after he was accused of sexual harassment by Gauteng commercial radio station Y’s content producer.

Amapiano star Tumelo Manyoni, best known as Mr JazziQ, is making headlines after he was accused of sexual harassment allegations by Gauteng commercial radio station Y’s content producer.

Mr JazziQ has been trending against the alleged allegations.

NGCEBO MCOBOTHI ACCUSES MR JAZZIQ OF ALLEGED SEXUAL HARASSMENT

The alleged victim, Ngcebo Mcobothi, a Y drive-time content producer, made the allegations on social media. She has it that the award-winning star allegedly harassed her while in the lift.

She claims the star tried to kiss her in the lift. Reports have it that the alleged incident took place at the radio station’s offices on the day Mr JazziQ and Robot Boii had their interview.

However, Mcobothi said at the time that she rejected the artist’s advances. She said, “I’m so triggered! Not me being sexually harassed by one of your faves after rejecting his advances. This guy grabbed me by the waist trying to kiss me, the way I had to push him away from me, that time we’re in a lift!”

Rumour has it that five people were in the lift when the alleged incident happened. Against the damning allegations, Mr JazziQ has since downplayed the accusations. In a now-viral press release

Y DISTANCES STATION FROM ALLEGATIONS

Mr JazziQ requested CCTV footage of the incident on that particular day. Reports say the station did not have video surveillance in the lift. The station went on to distance itself from Mcobothi’s allegations.

“The video evidence provided by Mr JazziQ’s videographer shows Ms Mcobothi entering the building and the lift, along with Mr JazziQ, his team and another famous artist joining him for the interview,” reads the statement.

Part of the statement reads, “Mr JazziQ is seen taking a picture with a fan after Mcobothi entered the lift ahead of him with several other people in tow.”

The statement further states that the alleged victim and perpetrator were never alone in the lift. Reports have it they were in the presence of five other people. However, Mr JazziQ has asked the victim to consider the implications of the allegations. He also appealed to fans not to attack the alleged victim.

MZANSI REACTS
However, fans and fellow celebrities have since shown Mr JazziQ support. South African comedian Tol A$$ Mo supported JazziQ and referenced his past incidents.

He said, “It’s the easiest way anyone can destroy your career, even in your innocence; now you have to deal with a lie. Sue her, and if she can’t pay, send her to jail. Let me show you an example with Lerato Moloi; this year won’t end; she will be behind bars.”
