South African music icon Sipho “Hotstix” Mabuse also honoured Jones’ legacy, recalling a memorable encounter in London, UK before a concert.

“We all wish for legends like Quincy to live forever, but life has other plans. Though he’s gone, his spirit and music live on. His legacy is something we will hold close,” said Hotstix.

According to reports, Jones’ family confirmed his death on Sunday night at his home in Bel Air, California, expressing deep grief while celebrating his remarkable life.

“Tonight, with full but broken hearts, we share the news of our beloved Quincy’s passing. This is an incredible loss for us, but we celebrate the extraordinary life he lived. There will never be another like him,” the family said.
