New presenter at Jozi FM Penny Ntuli involved in a car accident

There was quite an incident on the N3 highway yesterday involving Penny Ntuli, the new presenter at Jozi FM. The radio presenter, hailing from KwaZulu Natal, has recently made the move to Johannesburg.

Ntuli, who joined theSoweto-based radio station in April, said she brought her ride to Joburg since she’s getting used to “The Place of Gold”. The accident happened when a truck lost a load of timber which hit her car and damaged the front bumper.

She wrote on her Facebook page: “Today I decided ukunyusa imoto yam ize ngala eGoli ngoba sengqala ukuyijwayela lendawo, next thing out of nowhere kuFreeway kuwa ugodo kwiTruck lazotheleka straight kumina. (Today I decided to bring my car to Johannesburg as I am getting used to the place and the next thing on the highway, timber from a truck landed straight ont to my car).”

The actress and radio personality, with her quick thinking and sharp reflexes, managed to navigate the dangerous situation with finesse. Instead of hitting the brakes, she skilfully swerved to the side of the road and smoothly drove into the grass, successfully avoiding a potentially disastrous collision with oncoming cars.

Whatever I did bizolimala imoto either way(It doesn’t matter what I did, the car was going to suffer damages anyway). But hey no one got hurt… So long as umuntu esaphila, sengibonga lokho (As long as I am alive- I’m just grateful for that),” she wrote.

Penny garnered attention in March when she disclosed that she politely declined the opportunity to renew her contract with her previous employers at Gagasi FM. This decision came about after they proposed a salary of R2 800, which happened to be the exact amount she had been earning for a solid two years at the radio station located in Durban.

She was then offered a job at Jozi FM and whisked away to Johannesburg by her new employer. Shortly after beginning her new gig hosting the mid-morning show from 9am to 12pm, a few of her coworkers, who shall remain nameless, claimed that the station manager was playing favourites. However, the station swiftly dismissed these accusations.
