Minnie Dlamini has taken another shady shot at her Kaizer Chiefs ex-boyfriend, Itumeleng Khune. This time, the TV star made the comments in the Showmax Roast of herself which premiered on Friday, 26 April.

The mom-of-one was grilled over her relationship with the soccer star as well as her failed marriage to ex-husband Quinton Jones.

The roast included celebrity panelists Lasizwe Dambula, Trevor Gumbi, and Robert Marawa, amongst others. Comedians Tumi Morake and Jason Goliath co-hosted the event as roastmasters.

Minnie and Itumeleng dated from 2010- 2014 and were once considered the industry’s favourite celeb couple.

MINNIE DLAMINI POKES FUN AT KHUNE AGAIN

During her address to the panel of celebrities and roastmasters, Minnie Dlamini finally addressed that viral TV moment where she was accused of shading her ex-boyfriend.

Late last year, Minnie mocked Itumeleng Khune in an episode of her TV show Curated By Tanqueray. In a clip, she said of her ex: “No man, Khune doesn’t still play.”

When a crew member claimed that the famous star played as recently as the latest Soweto Derby, she added with much shock: “He STILL plays?.”

Minnie was dragged over the cringe-worthy moment and for trying to use Itumeleng’s name to “remain relevant.”

Speaking in her Roast, Minnie said of her faux pas: “I made a joke about Khune last year, and I got into a lot of trouble. A lot of people were really upset.”

But instead of a heartfelt apology, Minnie attempted to mock Khune again by revisiting a clip of him misspelling the word “apologise.”

Minnie Dlamini was not the only celeb throwing shade at Khune; sports presenter Robert Marawa also had a swipe at the veteran footballer and his high-profile relationship.

Robert said of Khune: “He was Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana’s number one goalkeeper. He was considered one of the best. And then he met Minnie Dlamini, aka the Zulu Jada Pinkett

“He was successful, and she Minnie-Dlaminied his career. She single-handedly ruined Bafana Bafana.”

RETIRING SOON?

Meanwhile, Khune has fuelled speculation he is ready to hang up his gloves in his professional playing career.

In several Instagram posts, the 36-year-old hinted that his time was up.

In one, Khune posted a picture of him seemingly waving goodbye to the crowd. He used a heart and “peace sign” emoji to captain the post.

Another post saw him praise fellow PSL goalkeeper Ronwen Williams, who plays for Mamelodi Sundowns and the Bafana Bafana national team.

“I will always RESPECT you, brother. Keep up the great work”, he shared.

Khune has previously called Ronwen the “best” goalkeeper in South Africa.
