[Photos] Who shot AKA? Suspected ‘hitmen’ out of hiding

Netizens were divided after seeing a photo of the recently napped suspects who were reported to be allegedly behind AKA and Tibz’s death.

The faces of the two suspected ‘hitmen’ previously alleged to be the “killers of the late popular South African rapper AKA” and his friend Tibz were recently revealed on Facebook.

DID THESE SUSPECTED ‘HITMEN’ KILL AKA AND TIBZ?

On Monday, Times of Swatini reported that members of the Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPSS) recently busted two suspected ‘hitmen’ living in hiding. The two South African brothers are said to be aged 28 and 29 and allegedly hail from Durban. They were reported to be allegedly wanted by police to assist with information in the murder cases including that of a musician and three taxi owners.

According to the publication, the duo were said to allegedly have information about what happened on the night AKA — real name Kiernan Jarryd Forbes was killed in 2023. The slain rapper was shot and killed with his long-term friend Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane on Florida road.

However, the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Mkhwanazi has recently dismissed the claims that the recently napped suspects in question are those linked in AKA an Tibz’s murder case. According to the SAPS website, Mkhwanazi said the recently captured suspects are to “face a case of murder and attempted where a man, who was a passenger in a vehicle, was shot and killed in Berea (in Durban) on 6 March 2023”.

Nonetheless, netizens were curious to see the faces of the recently napped suspects. While some still believe AKA and Tibz’s killer is still out at large, others were not so easily convinced.

“Still “alleged” by this time of the year, hayibo the SAPS must arrest those people they’ll deal with the rest in the interrogation room,” @IAMTHEEPREACHER commented.

“They should tell us who hired them,” @TurnUpGvngstar said.
