The upcoming general elections will be held on 29 May 2024. And, the African National Congress (ANC) is seemingly not going down without a flight.

President Cyril Ramaphosa previously encouraged those who will campaign to do so with respect to the law.

“I call on all South Africans to exercise their democratic right to vote and for those who will be campaigning to do so peacefully, within the full observance of the law,” SA.gov quoted the President as saying.

The ANC has been pulling off all the stops with their ongoing campaigns. In fact, in a recently posted video on social media, Ramaphosa was recently seen receiving a prayer for the success of his party.

The President also made an appearance at the Daveyton Mall in Gauteng where he was warmly welcomed by a bunch of ANC supporters. “The community in Daveyton has indeed reaffirmed our position as the leader of society,” the ANC said after popping by.

Going forward, the ANC has promised to resolve the country’s severe challenges of high unemployment, crime and poverty, Reuters reported. This was reportedly outlined at the recent manifesto launch in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.

Social media users were left divided following seeing Ramaphosa receiving a prayer for the ANC’s future.
