Billionaire businessman Vivian Reddy – the husband of ‘Real Housewives of Durban’ star Sorisha Naidoo – is offering the public a mega reward.

Vivian Reddy – the husband of Real Housewives of Durban star Sorisha Naidoo – is offering the public R5 million to prove allegations he financially aided several controversial councillors and municipal bigwigs.

According to the wealthy businessman, he has been linked to allegations that he funded the legal fees for suspended KwaDukuza CFO Shamir Rajcoomar, who has been accused of misappropriation of public funds.


Reddy made a plea to the public in a video message posted on social media.

In the video, Vivan Reddy said: “It has come to my attention that there have been malicious, allegations against me.

“One, being that I’ve paid the legal fees of Shamir Rajcoomar, the CFO of KwaDukuza, I’ve paid certain councillors R6 million each, and that Ive even paid certain ANC officials money.

Reddy claimed that he was willing to pay anyone who could prove the allegations against him.

He continued: “I am so determined to come to the bottom of the truth.  I want to give a reward to anyone who comes up with proof that I’ve made any such payments.

“You will be rewarded with R5 million.

“All you have to do is go to the local police station, produce a signed affidavit of my involvement, and have proof.

“You will get paid with no questions asked.

Reddy – a longtime ANC supporter – added that the allegations were linked to “in battles between members.”

He added: “I want no part of it. You have to fight your battles without wrongfully involving my name.”

In 2018, Vivian Reddy invested R500 million into the development of the KwaDukuza Mall.

According to the IOL, the development of the R1.5 billion precinct included a value centre, hotel, private hospital, and an office park.

The property developer – whose vision was to create a role model in BEE with a 90% BEE participation – boasted that construction had made over 1000 job creations with over 200 permanent placements for the community.

Just two years prior, Reddy funded a R10m Skills Development Training centre for the North Coast town, which produced nearly 500 graduates in its first year.

According to The Citizen, many of the construction-trained workers were used in the mall development.


It’s no secret that the husband of Real Housewives of Durban star Sorisha Naidoo has his fingers in many pies.

With his business conglomerate Edison Corporation, this includes property development, healthcare, electrical power, casinos, and financial services.

Vivian Reddy also spearheaded the luxury Radisson Blu Hotel and Oceans Mall in Umhlanga.
