Sifiso Ncwane’s mother says Ayanda snubbed her for singer’s unveiling

Businesswoman Ayanda Ncwane is accused of giving her late husband Sifiso Ncwane’s family the cold shoulder

Fikile Ncwane – the mother of late gospel artist Sifiso Ncwane — has put the singer’s widow, Ayanda Ncwane, on blast following an unveiling ceremony she hosted two weeks ago.

During her interview with ZiMoja, Fikile claimed that her daughter-in-law did not invite her to son’s tombstone unveiling.

SIFISO NCWANE’S MOTHER CLAIMS AYANDA DID NOT INVITE HER TO HIS UNVEILING

Sfiso – who was an award-winning musician – died on 5 December 2016 after being rushed to hospital, where he was treated for kidney problems.

His tombstone unveiling, held at the Heroes Acre Cemetery in KwaZulu-Natal, fell on his 45th birthday on 21 April this year.

While friends and industry colleagues were invited to honour the Kulungile Baba hitmaker’s life, Fikile told ZiMoja that Ayanda snubbed her and the family.

“I don’t know what I did to her but I want her to know that I love her because she is the mother of my grandchildren,” she told the publication.

Fikile also pleaded with Ayanda to allow her to see her grandsons – Mawenza and Ngcweti Ncwane – whom the former Real Housewives of Durban star shares with Sifiso.

“I am old ngane yami (my child). I don’t know what I did to her. I am sorry, but God won’t keep me around forever. I would like to see my grandkids because seeing them on social media and TV is not enough.

“As a woman of God, I hope she finds it in her heart to forgive me for whatever I did to her.”

FAMILY FEUD AND POSTPORTEM REPORT DRAMA

According to Fikile, the last time she saw Ayanda was at Sifiso’s funeral on 10 December 2016 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

“I was sitting next to her, then after that, it was time to go to the graveyard. She never greeted me even when I tried to comfort her at the funeral. She just gave me a cold shoulder,” she said.

The drama between Ayanda and Sifiso’s family made headlines after his burial. At his funeral, his sister and other relatives walked out of the Moses Mabhida Stadium, as they complained about not being allocated proper seating and having to sit in the rain with other mourners.

A few months later, The Citizen reported that the musician’s mother slammed Ayanda, accusing her of telling doctors not to show her the postmortem report.

In response, Ayanda rubbished the claim, saying: “If family members want to know something they know what to do. I will not disrespect my husband and publish his post-mortem report.”

She further said that after Sfiso’s death she immediately sent a car to fetch his mother so that they could “do everything together.”

In November last year, Fikile told Sunday World that she wants nothing to do with Ayanda.

She told the publication that their strained relationship took a turn for the worst when Ayanda applied for a protection order against her. This came after she probed the businesswoman about her son’s death as she suspects he was poisoned.
