The Kolisi Foundation was founded by Siya and Rachel in March 2020. The vision is to change the stories of inequality in South Africa, to see thriving communities.

Siya shares a mother with his two siblings – Liyema and Liphelo. Tragically, Siya’s mom passed away in 2009. According to Two Ocean’s Vibe, Liyema and Liphelo’s father also passed away and they were out of touch from their big brother. This left his two siblings bouncing from orphanages to foster homes for years before Siya and Rachel were financially stable enough to adopt them in 2014.

According to Kaya FM, Siya found his siblings in foster care in Zwide – a township in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape.
