‘This day brings pain’: Babes Wodumo on her first birthday without Mampintsha [watch]
Babes Wodumo penned an emotional, heartfelt letter on Instagram celebrating her first birthday without Mampintsha.
South African musician Babes Wodumo said she had pain celebrating her birthday without Mampintsha on 25 March.
Babes Wodumo lost her husband, Mampintsha, who had been a big player in her rise in music. During his days with her husband, they made hit songs together, rising to the top of South African music.
She also won several awards, showing how much she had grown alongside Mampintsha. Unfortunately, Babes lost her husband, and she took a long break from music.
A few months ago, she returned and had been exciting fans with her performances. When some fans expected her to be celebrating her birthday, Babes could not be so excited as she remembers Mampitsha.
After her birthday post, she left some fans and celebrities wishing her to get strength.

BABES WODUMO’S FIRST BIRTHDAY WITHOUT MAMPINSTHA
Babes Wodumo was born on 25 March 1994, as she revealed on her Instagram, celebrating her 30th birthday. The talented musician was born in Durban, South Africa, where she grew up until she met Mampintsha.
Celebrating her birthday, Babes Wodumo thanked God for keeping her this long but with a lot of pain.
“😔Wow, most of all, this day brings me pain as it’s the first Birthday without Mandla(Mamphintsha)…I want to thank God for keeping me till this age; I have been through a lot the past year, and it, including tears and pain, ngashiyelwa ukuba ngiqhubeke lendlela without umyeni wam, It pains me, but Kumho konke” she said.
“I would like to wish myself a blessed birthday, and reaching this milestone is an achievement in my life as some have not got to this age(30)…🙏To more blessings as ubuntu ja Jack😘🫡” she finished.

As Babes Wodumo celebrated her 30th birthday, we looked into her relationship with her late husband, Mampintsha. It was a dream relationship for most of their fans as Mampintsha took his girlfriend and set her up for success.
They went on to get married, but several rumours came out that Mampintsha abused Babes. The two later confirmed the cases of abuse, and both went to counselling, and they continued with their love.
After reconciling, they looked back and featured together in the album Idando Kazi. Surprisingly, after Mampintsha, rumours emerged from the disputes between Babes and Mampintsha’s mother, but they cooled down a few weeks later.

A few months ago, the birthday girl spoke of Mampintsha, describing him as a man who would fight for her even in death. Babes’ post showed how much she had missed her late husband but also triggered emotions among fans.
This post was one of her first posts after she got her Instagram page back after a long time without it.
