“In my 7 years of driving I’ve never caused an accident or been involved in one, but this is now beyond me. Last night, as I was parking my car in the yard, I heard a car going in the opposite direction. I tried pressing the brakes and pulling the handbrake, but the car hit a wall and got damaged in the same spot as yesterday’s accident. This car needs to go back home. No way!”

ACCIDENT ON TUESDAY

On Wednesday, Ntuli updated fans on Facebook about being in an accident the day before.

In the post, Ntuli explained that she was driving on the N3 Highway when a log from a truck fell out and hit her car.

“Today I decided ukunyusa imoto yam ize ngala eGoli ngoba sengqala ukuyijwayela lendawo, next thing out of nowhere kuFreeway kuwa ugodo kwiTruck lazotheleka straight kumina. [Today I decided to bring my car to Johannesburg as I am getting used to the place and the next thing on the highway, a log from a truck landed straight onto my car],” she said.

Ntuli added that she swerved and drove onto the grass to avoid crashing into oncoming traffic.

“Whatever I did bizolimala imoto either way [It doesn’t matter what I would have done, the car was going to suffer damages anyway]. But hey no one got hurt… So long as umuntu esaphila, sengibonga lokho [As long as I am alive, I’m just grateful for that],” she said.

DUMPING GAGASI FM FOR JOZI FM

Last month Ntuli relocated to Johannesburg after bagging a radio job at Jozi FM.

This came after she dumped Gagasi FM offering her a R2 800 salary for the graveyard show on Sundays between 1:00 and 4:00. On offer was an amount of R711,98 per show.

Ntuli said that she had “gladly accepted the new show” until she was told she would be getting paid R2 800 per month. According to the radio host, her new salary would have not been too far from what she had been paid for the past two years.

After her departure, Ntuli was announced as the host of the Mid Morning Chat Show on Jozi FM – which airs every Monday to Friday between 9:00 and 12:00.
