Stronger together: The Springboks compiled a tribute video to Bafana Bafana ahead of their quarter finals match.

The Springboks united fans with their tributes to Bafana, wishing them well during the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon). On 2 February, the Springboks made a tribute compilation for Bafana from their players in different parts of the world.

Bafana would be playing their quarter-final game against Cape Verde on 3 January, and the whole country is behind them.

South Africa has made history in the past few months since the Springboks won the Rugby World Cup in France. The Springboks made South Africa the most successful rugby nation with four trophies. A few weeks ago, Dricus du Plessis won the UFC Midweight Championship, the first South African to win.

All this has made South Africans believe they can be the best in the world whenever they compete. The Springboks believed this, cheering Bafana to go all the way, making South Africa proud.

“Good luck, @bafanabafanarsa we back you 100% StrongerTogether.”

In the past few years, many South Africans had lost belief in Bafana as they failed to impress when it mattered. Even heading to the Afcon, many fans refused to support them, saying they would end up heartbroken. Surprisingly, the team pulled a shocker when they defeated Morocco 2-nil, booking their place in the quarter-finals.

This win made some fans believe them, but the Springboks’ tribute convinced many. Siya Kolisi, Trevor Nyakane, Jesse Kriel and Manie Libbok were among the Springboks who wished Bafana well. They started showing the unity that was lost many years ago, and they are back cheering the team.
