Was Petal real? Nonku questions LaConco about ‘RHOD’ bae
The Durban housewives are bringing the drama to Jamaica! Nonku Williams poked fun at LaConco’s ‘love interest’ Petal.
On the first episode of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, Nonku Williams called out her former Real Housewives of Durban co-star, Nonkanyiso “LaConco” Conco, over her previous romantic interest, Petal. The first episode of the new reality series released on Showmax on Monday 27 May.
NONKU WILLIAMS CALLS OUT LACONCO IN JAMAICA
The real drama between the two Durban housewives – Nonku Williams and LaConco began the first night at dinner. The ladies stayed at a luxury villa in Jamaica. LaConco was previously engaged to former President Jacob Zuma, but affirmed that she is not Mrs Zuma. The pair have a son together. Nonku is the longest serving housewife in Africa. A tie she held with Sorisha Naidoo, before she joined Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.
The waitor asked the ladies if they would like to raise a toast, to which they agreed and Nonku then said “to Petal.” Petal was LaConco’s “love interest” in the second season of the Real Housewives of Durban. He got the nickname after he sent LaConco flowers at an event.
LaConco was then taken off guard and said that Nonku was obsessed with Petal. Nonku, seemingly amused, then asked where Petal is. To which LaConco replied that he is around. Nonku then asked if Petal was real, to which LaConco pointed out that Nonku previously assumed things and said Petal was not real and she had sent those flowers to herself.
“He is 100% real,” she affirmed when Nonku asked again.
Nonku revealed that the whole call that was coming through was from her boyfriend, and LaConco asked “which one?”. This visibly angered Nonku but she
LaConco then made reference to Nonku’s boyfriend in Real Housewives of Durban season three – “Rough Diamond”, who she later claimed stole from her.
“She trended with some rough something, so I don’t know, which one,” said LaConco.
THE ‘AWKWARD’ MEETING
It seems both Nonku and LaConco were not that happy to see each other when the ladies met at the villa. LaConco asked Melany “Mel” Viljoen (Real Housewives van Pretoria), why she was clapping to see Nonku, and Mel said she was the queen. LaConco in disbelief replied, “is she?”.
In her confessional, she then said “Gosh, I’ve got a headache.” However, Nonku did tell LaConco that she looks great.
In her confessional though, she said “I was never ready. What is LaC doing here? I thought I was the queen of the Durban housewives.”
