Cyan Boujee made headlines earlier this month after she was recorded twerking for a bunch of underage school children. The influencer was reportedly invited to the school to deliver a motivational speech to the youngsters. Many who watched, slammed her as an attention-seeker, while others called on the school’s principal to be sacked for allowing it.

On Monday this week, she joined Podcast and Chill hosts MacG and Sol Phenduka via phone to discuss the matter.

According to Cyan, she was one of many artists called to perform at what she says was a school bash. She also revealed that her grandmother, a teacher at the school, organised the whole thing.

This after a video of her giving a “motivational talk” and then twerking for school children went viral.

In the viral videos, the DJ can be seen wearing a short black leather dress, which many have also deemed inappropriate for children at that age.

The video went viral on X as social media users shared their thoughts on how inappropriate the whole thing was.

Meanwhile, social media users have taken to bashing Cyan, who they say is an attention seeker who would do or say anything to trend.

A ‘REASONABLE’ EXPLANATION?

On Monday this week, famous podcaster MacG decided to clear the air once and for all. Speaking to Cyan during his show, he asked her what the video was about.

According to her, she is one of a line-up of artists who were “performing” that day. She also claimed that it was a school bash.

“It was a school bash, and they expect artists to come; we had a lineup; it wasn’t just me. They had Soweto’s Fines and everyone else, but unfortunately, because I’m the bigger brand, I had to,” she said.
