Yadah FC star Khama Billiat paid a courtesy call on President Mnangagwa at the State House in Harare, Zimbabwe.

Earlier this week, the former Kaizer Chiefs star visited the president in the company of Yadah FC’s owner, Prophet Walter Magaya.

Khama Billiat joined Yadah FC earlier this year after leaving Kaizer Chiefs in 2023. After months of negotiations, speculations, and failed transfers in the DStv Premier League, Billiat settled for Yadah FC.

His deal with Yadah FC undoubtedly made him the highest-paid Castle Larger Premier League player. Billiat earns a base salary of R95 000. However, this is way less than Kaizer Chiefs’ proposed salary.

The Soweto giants were willing to keep Khama Billiat but with a base salary of R480 000, a 60% pay cut from the alleged R800 000 he was earning. Yadah FC also paid Khama R380 000 cash signing-on fee. The club also gifted him a new R2 million Land Rover as part of the deal.

However, he is enjoying his new life back home and meeting the president is one of the biggest highlights of his return. Photos of Khama Billiat with Zim’s president have been making rounds since they dropped on the internet. The president and Khama Billiat were all smiles in the now-viral photos.

No doubt, the photos have since gained thousands of comments and reactions. Speaking during the visit, the president welcomed Khama Billiat back home and lauded him for returning home.

The president said, “Welcome home, my son. Remember, this is your home, your breeding ground, and your ground for strong performance [sic].” Khama Billiat returned home after 13 years.

The 33-year-old debuted during Yadah FC’s League opener against Hwange FC. Speaking to the media on the sidelines of his debut, he said he was overwhelmed by the reception and hoped to show his flair.

Khama Billiat said, “I’m still energetic, I’m still hungry to do more, and I feel that agility and my texture allow me to perform for quite some time.”

Khama Billiat had his youth career with Aces Youth Soccer Academy before joining CAPS United in 2010. He switched the floor to Ajax Cape Town during the same year. He left Ajax Cape Town in 2013 for Mamelodi Sundowns.

In 2018, he joined Kaizer Chiefs in a big money transfer. However, his stint with the Soweto Giants was not as colourful as many thought it would be. After dumping the Soweto giants in the eleventh hour in June 2023, Khama Billiat joined Yadah FC in February 2024.
