Lynn Forbes opened up about grief a year after losing her son, slain rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, popularly known as AKA.

Lynn Forbes took to Instagram to express that grief is not just felt on the big dates, but everyday via a post on Friday 23 February.

It’s been just over a year since slain rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, popularly known as AKA, was shot dead outside of Wish Restaurant on Florida Road, Durban on 10 February 2023. AKA left behind his parents – Lynn and Tony Forbes, brother Stefan, daughter Kairo Forbes, mother of his child DJ Zinhle and girlfriend Nadia Nakai.

His mom, Lynn took to Instagram to express that grief is not something you only experience on the big days but hurts everyday. Take a look…

“EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. People might think it’s the big dates that hurt the most but grief lives in the everyday. It’s in the intimate rhythms of everyday life that I feel your absence the most 🤍,” he captioned the post.
