WATCH: Lerato Kganyago blue ticks Valentine’s Day?
Too much pressure? Social media users were left disappointed after ‘Valentine’s Day queen’ Lerato Kganyago posted absolutely nothing.
Over the last few years, Lerato Kganyago and her husband, Thami Ndala, have blown South Africans away with their lavish Valentine’s Day celebrations. The media personality’s prominent businessman husband will seemingly stop at nothing to make her feel special and has managed to do so successfully for three years running.
Naturally, as Valentine’s Day quickly approached in SA, many waited anxiously to see what the power couple had in store for their many fans this year.
Disappointingly, Lerato and Thami kept things pretty much completely under wraps and didn’t post anything at all on social media.
DID LERATO KGANYAGO HAVE A SECRET VALENTINE’S DAY?
In 2021, Thami Ndlala treated his media personality wife Lerato Kganyago to a live performance by Zonke and her band at the FNB stadium which he booked especially for the occasion.
The following year he went even bigger and gifted the Metro FM DJ an entire hotel boutique in the North of Johannesburg.
In 2023, many waited with bated breath to see what was in store for Lerato.
But instead of sharing everything on social media, Lerato shared an Instagram story explaining that Valentine’s Day is not about grand gestures but rather about warm fuzzy feelings.
She did however share that she and hubby were jetting off to the US — a trip that many believed was just a getaway from all of the Valentine’s Day pressure.
AN INTERNATIONAL TREAT
It turns out, however, that Lerato was indeed treated to a Valentine’s Day like no other. According to her Instagram stories, her husband booked RnB sensation Kenny Latimore to perform for her.
“Thank you Kenny Latimore for making my Valentine’s Day very special. Till we meet again,” she wrote on a photo that showed a thick trail of romantic red roses that were undoubtedly part of her V-Day decorations.
AN UNUSUALLY QUIET 2024
After three years of successfully blowing everyone’s minds, this year the couple appears to have decided on keeping things very lowkey.
Unlike the previous three years, Lerato did not head to social media to share what she and Thami got up too.
One cannot help but wonder whether or not she may have grown tired of the pressure to have the most romantic Valentine’s Day in SA.
