She certainly has a rags-to-riches story to tell: Uzalo actress Ntombifuthi ‘Mam Madlala’ Dlamini worked as a cleaner before becoming famous.

Ntombifuthi Dlamini is a prominent South African actress best known for portraying Gladys Mam Madlala on South Africa’s most-watched drama series Uzalo.

Her on-screen character, Mam Madlala, has undoubtedly impressed many. She played a Christian widow with a weakness for dating young guys, better known as Ben 10s.

Her on-screen relationships and sense of dressing have often seen her topping trends over the seasons.

With her buddy MaDongwe, she is most known for wearing three-piece suits, blonde fancy weaves, and exquisite hats, and the two have managed to win fans for the drama series.

Despite the fact that extras were the lowest paid, she did her best, and the rest is history. Stained Glass Productions apparently offered her a big role in season 7 due to her unrivaled acting talent.

She is now one of the most famous actors despite having started out as a hospital janitor.
