WATCH: Mbuso Khoza confirms ‘Umkhokha: The Curse’ departure

Musician and actor Mbuso Khoza, who portrayed the role of Babu Maphalala confirms his exit from ‘Umkhokha: The Curse’.

Fans of actor Mbuso Khoza are devastated he exited Mzansi Magic’s telenovela, Umkhokha: The Curse where he played Babu Maphalala.

MBUSO KHOZA: ‘I REMAIN GRATEFUL’

A source from Umkhokha: The Curse reveals to Zimoja that the actor and musician, Mbuso Khoza left the show to focus on his podcast.

“Close sources said that it is so he can focus on his new and soon to be launched Ndabezitha podcast. His podcast will tackle more cultural issues affecting mostly the Zulu nation,” said the publication.

Khoza thanked Dr Duma Ndlovu for his role in the faith-based telenovela and added that he never imagined himself being on TV, especially acting.

He added that he absolutely regrets nothing. Spending time on UMkhokha has been indeed life changing for him, it revived his brand as a vocalist. He’s happy to count it as one of his favourite blessings.

HIS ROLE IN ‘UMKHOKHA: THE CURSE’

The talented actor, Mbuso Khoza portrayed the character of Maphalala in Mzansi Magic’s telenovela, Umkhokha: The Curse.

Sunday World reports that Khoza joined Umkhokha the series, returned when it turned into a telenovela. He is also one of the people behind the show’s soundtracks.

The publication adds that Khoza who’s also cultural practitioner, singer and theatre producer regularly travels the world for concerts and other cultural events.

The actor explained his departure from the faith-based telenovela after his character disappeared from the screens.
