‘RHOD’S’ ZAMA NGCOBO WAS PREVIOUSLY INVOLVED WITH BHEKI CELE
When it comes to her personal life, Ngcobo is very private, although, she’s made headlines for her romantic relationships before. This includes her relationship with a popular Africa National Congress (ANC) politician.
The Eshowe-born actress was previously in a relationship with current Police Minister Bheki Cele. TimesLIVE reported about the former couple’s relationship in 2010. However, it is not clear when their relationship started or ended. Cele went on to marry his current wife that year, who shares a surname with the RHOD star, Thembeka Ngcobo.
Ngcobo also later wed, but has successfully kept her husband’s identity out of the public.
JOINING ‘RHOD’
Ngcobo previously told SowetanLIVE that she does not care about social media perceptions of her on RHOD.
“I’m not afraid of what the public will say about me or my storyline once the episodes air on TV. I’ve been in this industry long enough not to stress myself about public opinion. Sometimes people choose to misunderstand you even though what you may have said or did wasn’t fuelled by malicious intent… I’m aware that I don’t have any control over that.
“However, I’m more concerned about the elderly generation in my family. They tend to take what people say to heart and their feelings are more of my concern. They know me for my acting and they can’t seem to grasp the whole idea of me doing reality TV.”
Speaking about her storyline, Ngcobo said she is both the villain and the “soft one” on RHOD. She added that she will be letting fans into her motherhood journey.
