Another Springbok has joined the first-time fatherhood club – Herschel Jantjies and his partner Kelsey have announced the birth of their baby girl.
The 27-year-old rugby star – who also plays for the Stormers – shared the sweet news in an Instagram post.
Jantjies was part of the Boks squad that helped win the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
Herschel and fellow Boks Eben Etzebeth, Faf de Klerk, Handre Pollard, and Malcolm Marx have all recently announced news of their partners’ pregnancies.

In an Instagram post, Herschel Jantjies and Kelsey Thomas shared the exciting news of their daughter’s birth.
“Alyssa-Rose • 01/02/24. Perfection! TYJ for a healthy little girl”, read a post shared on both their Instagram pages. The post was liked by various Springboks, including Damian Willemse, Handre Pollard and Makazole Mapimpi.

According to the social media accounts, the couple have been together since as far back as 2017.
While Herschel helped the Springboks win the 2019 Rugby World Cup, he unfortunately did not make the 2023 squad.

Joining Herschel Jantjies as a new dad is fellow Springbok Eben Etzebeth and his wife Anlia, who announced the birth of their baby girl last month.

Also expecting a baby girl in the coming weeks is Faf de Klerk and his wife, Mine.
Meanwhile, Handre Pollard and wife Marise as well as Malcolm and Kirsten Marx will be welcoming baby boys in the next few months.
