Well paid: Talented actor Cedric Fourie’s salary on Skeem Saam revealed.

We can all agree that he has been a constant news headline buzzer of late, and his charming looks and muscular body has often seen him trending for the wrong reasons. Cedric Fourie is a celebrated South African actor best known for his on-screen character Lehasa Maphosa on the SABC1 drama series Skeem Saam.

The 32-year-old actor was born on 17 March 1990 in Orlando, Soweto, South Africa. He grew up under the watch of his mother, who happened to be a single mother. However, he attended several schools growing up, including Greyville Primary School, Lenasia and Princess Primary School.

He then matriculated at Athlone Boys. Fortune favours the bold. The seasoned actor was lucky enough to secure a scholarship that enrolled him at the University of the Witwatersrand. He then graduated with a degree in networking engineering. Before his thrust into the acting limelight, Lehasa worked at established networking organisations like Ericcson, Mobax group, and Huawei Technologies.

Well, despite not having any acting educational background, the actor has managed to win big when it comes to small screens.

When he appeared on The Harvest, he made a lot of headlines. He appeared on The Ring, Sokhulu, and Partners a few years later. It’s worth noting that he used to play Willian on Generations.

Without a doubt, his Skeem Saam cast catapulted him to popularity, and he’s been winning ever since. Following his on-screen nemesis, the actor landed a cameo role as a doctor in etv’s drama series Durban Gen.

Fans have been wondering how much the celebrity actor earns from his on-screen portrayal. Given his rapid rise to prominence as one of fan’s best, he might ask for a high payment.

In recent months, he has quickly established himself as the show’ face. We can all agree that he is an icon we all love. Showrunners have begun compensating cast members based on their experience, time on set, and role significance. Because Skeem Saam is a low-budget drama series, Cedric Fourie is paid a stunning R50,000 per month for his Lehasa role.
