Fans have reacted to a photo of DJ Zinhle and her ‘husband’ Murdah Bongz posing with a portrait of AKA on his birthday.
X, formerly known as Twitter, users have reacted to a photo of South African DJ Ntombezinhle Mohosana, popularly known as DJ Zinhle, and her husband Murdah Bongz posing with a portrait of her “baby daddy”, slain rapper AKA and their daughter Kairo Forbes.

Today (28 February) marks slain rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, popularly known as AKA’s 36th birthday. The rapper was shot dead outside of Wish Restaurant on Florida Road in Durban on 10 February – just two weeks after he turned 35. This is the first year the Forbes family doesn’t have AKA around for his birthday.
DJ Zinhle, who shares eight-year-old Kairo Forbes with the rapper took to Instagram to share a tribute to her ex-boyfriend. The Umlilo hitmaker and her “husband” Murdah Bongz posed in front of a beautiful portrait of AKA and Kairo. Take a look…

Zinhle also revealed how difficult AKA’s death has been for her as a mother.
“Kairo had a tough week leading up to Kiernan’s birthday, as a mother, I want her to heal & celebrate her dad but it’s too soon. The past year has been a roller coaster, my God!!! Everyday I hold my breath hoping she’s okay… I feel helpless cause I can’t help my child deal with the pain,” she captioned the post.
