X users grill Prince Kaybee over Bafana Bafana
South African musician Prince Kaybee — real name Kabelo Motsamai — is still catching smoke for being an All Blacks supporter. Last year, his fellow South Africans have blasted him for having no loyalty to the country by supporting the opposition during the Rugby World Cup.
This year, his decision to support the New Zealand team was brought up again when he joined thousands of locals in discussing Bafana Bafana’s chance at beating Nigeria in next week’s African Cup of Nations (Afcon) match.
PRINCE KAYBEE STILL GETTING BLASTED FOR SUPPORTING ALL BLACKS
In October last year, many South Africans celebrated the Springboks after they managed to win yet another Rugby World Cup.
Naturally, not everyone was celebrating.
One of the people who have expressed their disappointment at this is Fetch Your Life hitmaker Prince Kaybee who headed to X to send a message to his favourite team — the All Blacks.
This tweet left some locals angered at his lack of “patriotism”. Some even threatened to delete his music from their devices.
“All deleted. I don’t support ppl that will choose strangers over their own. Charity begins at home,” one person said.
It would appear many are still annoyed with the star and this became clear after he tweeted about Bafana Bafana and the Afcon tournament.
Taking to X, he shared how he believes their match against Nigeria next week is going to be the tough one.
“Nah, Nigeria is gonna be a tough one,” he tweeted.
Replying to this, one annoyed X user reminded him how he once chose another country over his own:
“You supported New Zealand during the world rugby cup wena so sit this one out,” the young woman wrote.
Nah, Nigeria is gnna be a tough one.
