HANDRE POLLARD CELEBRATES FIRST FATHER’S DAY

Springboks flyhalf Handre Pollard celebrated his first Father’s Day on Sunday 16 June. Handre and his wife, Marise welcomed their bouncing baby boy, Hunter Andre Pollard on 25 April. So, this marked Handre’s first Father’s Day as a new dad. His loving wife, Marise took to Instagram to pen a sweet and thoughtful Father’s Day tribute to him.

“Jy is ons huis, ons rots 🤍. Gelukkige vadersdag my liefste man, how lucky are we,” she wrote, which translates to “you are our home, our rock. Happiest Father’s Day my dearest husband. How lucky are we,” in English.

THE 2024 SPRINGBOKS BABIES

In January this year, Springboks lock Eben Etzebeth and his wife Anlia a baby girl. This is the pair’s first child together. In February, Faf and Mine welcomed a baby girl named Remi-Ré de Klerk on 27 February. This was also the pair’s the first child. Two months later, Malcolm Marx and his wife, Kirsten welcomed their second child, a baby boy on 6 June. The couple already have a daughter named Kenna together.

And now there’s another Springboks baby, Springboks hooker Bongi Mbonambi and his wife Stacy Mbonambi announced their pregnancy on Mother’s Day, 12 May.

“I love being a mom, now i’ll be a mom of two in a few months 😆😅…. surprise surprise, can only keep a secret for so long….Being a mom is so many things at once, i can’t describe it in one word, but it’s the best thing ever, also the hardest thing ever 😂,” she wrote.

“Only by God’s grace & mercy that im able to be the best mom to my girl, now 5 years later He blessed me with another, God’s time is the perfect time, im in a much better place mentally & emotionally that a few years ago,” she continued.
