Zizo Tshwete mourns after the passing of her mother
Radio and TV host Zizo Tshwete is mourns after the passing of her mother.
The 36-year-old, who is formerly known as Zizo Beda, announced her mum’s death on Instagram.
Zizo is known as the Miss South Africa Teen 2006-winner and was host of the SABC1 magazine show, Selimathunzi.
In the post, she thanked God and her late mum.
“Thank you for one of the most meaningful relationships of my existence. The one between me and the one you trusted to bring me and my siblings into the world, the relationship between me noMama,” Zizo’s post read.
“Thank you for your whole life, Mama!!! Enkosi kakhulu for teaching us about a life centred on and in Jesus Christ, Mama. Rest ngoku, beloved Reverend Nonceba Beda.”
“The mountain is no match for a heart planted in faith, Dr Sylvester Funani. I believe God.”
Industry friends and followers sent Zizo messages of support and condolences.
Reality TV star Mpumi Mops, popularly known as Mrs Mops, wrote: “Sending you lots of hugs Zizo, my deepest condolences to you and your family.”
Former Our Perfect Wedding host Kayise Ngqula wrote: “Oh Zizo, I’m only seeing this now.”
“Your mum always held a special place in my heart because nguMagebane like my mum. I’ve told you this many times. Bless her soul as she enters the gate of heaven. My condolences.”
Former Generations actress Zenande Mfenyana wrote: “Nxezi, Zizo. Sending you comfort, love and strength during this time to you and your family.”
