⚠️ SASSA Delays June 2025 Grants for Over 200,000 Beneficiaries
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has confirmed that more than 210,000 beneficiaries will experience delays in receiving their June 2025 grants. The delay comes after a joint investigation revealed that many individuals may have failed to disclose income, which is a violation of the Social Assistance Act.
🔎 Why the Delay?
SASSA and registered credit bureaus identified several grant recipients who appear to be earning income not declared during their application process. In response, SASSA is requiring all affected beneficiaries to visit their nearest office within 30 days for a mandatory grant review.
📅 Official June Payment Dates (for those unaffected):
-
Older Persons Grants – Tuesday, 3 June 2025

Disability Grants – Wednesday, 4 June 2025
-
Children’s Grants & Others – Thursday, 5 June 2025
⚖️ What Happens Next?
Beneficiaries who fail to comply with the review process risk having their grants suspended or permanently stopped. SASSA has reminded the public that fraud will not be tolerated and that any attempt to cheat the system will result in legal action.
✅ What to Do If You’re Affected?
If you received a notice from SASSA, report to your local office immediately with all required documentation. Make sure your personal details and financial information are updated.
📢 Reminder:
Always keep your details updated and report any changes in income. Let’s protect the integrity of our social support systems.
