💔 Family of 27-Year-Old E-Hailing Driver Pleads for Help After Brutal Arson Attack
The family of a 27-year-old e-hailing cab driver, who was tragically killed in a horrific arson attack at Maponya Mall in Soweto, is pleading for public assistance to bring his remains home.
According to relatives, the young man’s life was cut short in the most brutal way, leaving them devastated and struggling to cope with the loss. In the aftermath of the fire, authorities were only able to recover one bone, as the rest of his body was reduced to ashes.
The grieving family says they have no financial means to fetch his remains from Johannesburg or to give him a dignified burial.
“This is the most painful thing we’ve ever faced,” a family spokesperson said. “We just want to lay him to rest with dignity, but we can’t do it alone.”
The heartbreaking story has sparked outrage and sadness across communities, with many calling for justice and accountability for the senseless act of violence.
Those wishing to assist the family are urged to reach out through local community leaders and organisations helping to coordinate support.
