DJ and influencer Cyan Boujee has finally spoken out about the social media uproar sparked by a viral video in which a fan accused her of gifting a damaged wig as part of an online giveaway.

Fan Shares Video of Disappointing Prize

The controversy erupted when TikTok user @certified_thimna posted a video showing the condition of the wig she had received from Cyan Boujee’s social media competition.

In the clip, the fan did not mince words, expressing clear disappointment with the hair’s quality and accusing Cyan of disrespecting her supporters.

Cyan Boujee Explains the Mix-Up

Speaking in a candid interview with Lasizwe, Cyan Boujee addressed the backlash and clarified that the wig had been sent out by mistake.

She explained that she had delegated the process of sorting and washing around 15 wigs to her personal assistant and her brother.

“Cyan does not do things on her own. I have a PA and a brother who help me do things,” she said. “Unfortunately, the wrong one got to the clout-seeking one,” she said.

Disappointed by Public Complaint

While taking responsibility for the error, Cyan expressed disappointment that the winner chose to air her grievance publicly rather than contacting her privately to resolve the issue.

She emphasized that the incident was not a deliberate snub but an honest mix-up in the packing process.
