Alostro disappears after rehab breakthrough
Alostro disappears after rehab breakthrough! Social media personality Alostro, real name Mohau Louis, has sparked concern after vanishing just weeks into a promising recovery journey. The 34-year-old from Carletonville, Gauteng, had recently completed over a year in rehab, overcoming a long battle with nyaope addiction.

A New Start Derails
Alostro was participating in a rehabilitation and work programme under the Limpopo Anti-Drugs, Gangsterism, and Crime initiative. He had started working as a painter and was scheduled to receive R3,500 for his efforts.
However, according to Philly “Mr Moloto” Moloto, founder of the rehab centre, Alostro disappeared after receiving R1,000, his initial payment. “After lunch that day, he left his clothes and ran away. We searched for him and later discovered he had gone back home,” Moloto said.

Family Concerned, Supporters Disappointed
Alostro’s aunt later contacted Mr Moloto, complaining that he was now misusing her grant money. Mr Moloto expressed disappointment, saying, “I had so many plans for him — gigs, music opportunities — all lined up. It’s heartbreaking.”
Moloto added that he delayed posting about Alostro’s disappearance because he was genuinely worried for his safety. “He didn’t have to vanish. He could’ve just said he wanted to go home.”
DJ Karri Reacts
DJ Karri, the music producer who initially took Alostro to rehab and helped him go viral with motivational content, shared a video update after the incident.
“Alostro has been found. Mr Moloto added me and his aunt to a call. I could hear him in the background. Now, it’s up to him whether he returns to work or stays at home,” said Karri.
Future Uncertain
While fans remain hopeful, the incident has cast doubt on Alostro’s commitment to recovery. Supporters and mentors alike have urged him to make the right choices moving forward.
Whether he resumes his path to sobriety and public redemption remains to be seen.
