‘Big Brother Mzansi’ stars Thato and Gash1 join ‘Generations’
Former ‘Big Brother Mzansi’ stars Thato Immaculate Mokoena and Gashwan ‘Gash1’ Mthombeni have landed roles on ‘Generations: The Legacy’.
Popular Big Brother Mzansi stars Thato Immaculate Mokoena and her husband Gashwan “Gash1” Mthombeni have joined Generations: The Legacy.
GASH1 AND THATO: NEW ROLES
The SABC1 soapie Generations: The Legacy this week introduced the reality TV stars Thato Immaculate Mokoena and Gashwan “Gash1” Mthombeni on the show.
“This coming week on Generations: The Legacy, look out for our celebrity couple Thato Immaculate Mokoena aka Sindi and Gashwin Mthombeni aka Thabo, affectionately known as Thato Immaculate and Gash1,” said the show.
The couple who tied the knot after meeting on Big Brother Mzansi reality TV show also portray a married couple, Sindy and Thabo on the soapie.
They made their debut on Tuesday, 19 November as Tau (Rapulana Seiphemo) and Ayanda’s ( Samela Tyelbooi) celebrity friends.

TV APPEARANCES BEFORE ‘GENERATIONS: THE LEGACY’
Though Gash1 has not appeared in any TV shows after Big Brother Mzansi, his wife Thato has starred in numerous Mzansi Magic dramas.
Thato got her acting break in 1Magic’s cancelled TV show The River in 2022 as Nthabiseng Maleka.
Sunday World reported that her character Nthabiseng brought trouble for one of the Hlophe brothers, Mlilo (played by Vuyo Biyela).
“Dreams come true; prayers get answered. If you know me you know this is my daily prayer Jesus, you’ve been good to me. May I decrease and you increase? May you be glorified through my life,” wrote Thato on social media.
She also starred alongside beauty queen and actress Phuti Kgomo in 1Magic romantic comedy series Entangled in October 2023.
