The award-winning actress is trending after she shared a series of photos from her picture-perfect birthday shoot.

The now-viral photos have gained thousands of comments and reactions since they dropped on Instagram.

Taking to the picture-sharing app, Thembi Seete shared photos while holding a cake. Part of her post reads, “It’s my birthday.”

Against the post, fans and fellow celebrities quickly flooded her comment section with warm birthday wishes while others gushed over her youthful looks.

Actress Simz Ngema commented, “Happy birthday sisi. Have a beautiful one.” Award-winning actress Sannah Mchune posted, “Happy birthday TayTay. I love you, my nana.”

No doubt her youthful looks implicated her age into the mix.

Despite being one of the most followed stars in South Africa, Thembi Seete has managed to keep her private life under wraps, leaving many to guess even about her age.

However, the publication has since confirmed her age. The 48-year-old star was born in Soweto, Johannesburg, on 25 March 1997.

Many were puzzled to learn that the actress was 48, given her youthful looks. Some quickly noted that age was just a number for the eight-year-old actress since life begins at 40.

However, in recent years, she has managed to share her anti-ageing secrets through her social media platforms.

She undoubtedly joins a host of South African actresses who have made headlines with their youthful looks in recent years, including seasoned actress Connie Ferguson.

CAREER
Actress Thembi Seete had her shot at fame in 1994 at a younger age when she was part of the successful kwaito group Boom Shaka.

In the wake of her fame a few years later, she went solo and later switched the floor to acting. She is a jill of trades and master of all.

She hogged headlines with her Yizo Yizo character. Surprisingly, she also did a soundtrack for Yizo Yizo 2 titled Sure Ntombazana.

Despite her big wins in several productions, she is best known for her onscreen character Gladys on Gomora.

She was part of the star-studded cast of the Mzansi Magic drama series, which had several award-winning actors, including Katlego Danke and the late Connie Chiume.
