Cassper Nyovest Heartbroken as Birthday Gift for Friend Gets Stolen – Shares Update
South African rapper and businessman Cassper Nyovest has shared his anger and frustration after a disappointing experience with Uber. What was supposed to be a kind gesture for a friend’s birthday ended in disappointment when the gift was stolen by the Uber courier driver.
Cassper explained that he had ordered the delivery through Uber’s courier service, hoping to surprise his friend with an expensive and thoughtful present. However, things didn’t go as planned. Instead of completing the delivery, the driver, identified as Dymon, reportedly stole the package and later claimed he had returned it to Cassper.
Taking to social media, Cassper opened up about the ordeal. On Instagram, he revealed:
“Since I involved you guys in this Uber story, the gift that I got for my friend, I’d like to update you. It’s been three days that Uber has been calling me. Every day I get calls from different people and apologies, but my item is not back yet. Three days later, one of the ladies told me that they have it and asked me to send my address. Uber, so I’m forced to open a police case because this guy stole from me and he’s lying, and now Uber is lying to me as well. So I just wanted to update you guys to say, rubbish.”
Cassper also went on a rant on X (formerly Twitter), where he tagged Uber’s official accounts and expressed how deeply disappointed he was by the incident. He wrote:
“@Uber_RSA @UberEats Uber has become such complete rubbish !!!! Yesterday I tried to send a gift to one of my friends through Uber courier and the driver decided to steal the gift and report that he returned to me!!! The name of the driver is Dymon and it’s been over 24 hours since I tried sending them e mails!! Such an expensive gift, ruined my day and ruined the gesture for my friend cause he was so excited!!! I never use Uber courier again!!!! This happens after they have stolen food sooo many times !!! Such rubbish!!!!”
The ordeal has since gone viral, with fans and social media users weighing in and sharing their disappointment with Uber. Cassper has confirmed that he will be opening a police case, signalling that the situation is far from over.
For now, the rapper has made it clear that his trust in Uber’s courier service has been completely broken.
