DJ Warras Murder Suspect Claims Police Assault During Court Appearance

le Content:Victor Mthethwa Majola, the suspect in the murder of broadcaster and DJ Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock, appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 24 December 2025, claiming he was assaulted by police during his arrest.
Majola, who appeared limping in court, is facing charges in connection with the fatal shooting of DJ Warras in the Johannesburg Central Business District last week. His lawyer told the court that Majola sustained serious injuries to his hands and other parts of his body and requires medical attention.
The defence alleged that Majola was assaulted by police in the early hours of Monday morning during his arrest. The lawyer also highlighted that Majola has no previous convictions, pending cases, or outstanding warrants.
Majola will remain in custody and is expected to return to court on 6 January 2026 for a bail hearing. Authorities continue to investigate the murder as additional suspects remain at large.
