Dr Pert was the founder of the Dr Pert Centre for Body Sculpting, specialising in advanced body contouring procedures such as liposuction and the Brazilian butt lift (BBL).

Her clinic also offered hormone therapy, laser hair removal, and anti-ageing treatments.

She rose to prominence for her work with high-profile celebrity clients, including reality TV stars Lethabo “LeJoy” Mathatho, Nonkanyiso “LaConco” Conco, Dineo Moloisane, and many others.

The funeral, as elegant as it was emotional, resembled a red-carpet gala rather than a traditional service.

Mourners arrived in luxurious all-black designer outfits, exuding style and grace.

The décor inside the marquee was equally opulent with floral arrangements, ambient lighting, and high-end furnishings creating a setting that reflected Dr Pert’s sophistication and larger-than-life presence.

Among the guests were prominent political figures, including Minister of Electricity and Energy Kgosientsho Ramokgopa, Minister of International Relations Ronald Lamola, Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi, and Western Cape MEC of Health Mireille Wenger, among others.

Her colleague Letlhage Raphuthi reflected on their friendship and professional journey.

“My dear friend, you are gone too soon. When I met you in 2017, little did I know that one day I would be standing here to bid you farewell and say goodnight. I didn’t know that one day I would stand over your grave and bid you farewell after a life lived so well and ended suddenly,” he said.

Her childhood friend Bernica shared a lighthearted memory, recalling how Dr Pert always pushed her to pursue her studies, even after she had achieved professional success.

“She said that even after she opened one of the biggest security companies in the country, she still asked her to go back to school. I registered with Unisa, but I never attended a single class,” she said.

Dr Pert’s eldest son, Kamogelo Mathibe, expressed the family’s gratitude and pain in his emotional tribute.

“We have to accept and be closer to God at all times. I thank all of you for your support, those who come from far and near. Today, we didn’t just come to bid farewell, but we also came to celebrate the wonderful life of my mom,” he said.
