Hungani & Stephanie Ndlovu Confirm Split After Five-Year Marriage—Remain Committed to Daughter
Popular South African actors and YouTube stars, Hungani and Stephanie Ndlovu, have officially confirmed that they are separating. This comes after weeks of speculation and reports about trouble in their marriage. The couple, who tied the knot in 2019 and welcomed their first child in 2022, released a joint statement addressing the end of their marriage.
In their heartfelt message, the Ndlovus said: “We’d like to take a moment to address the speculation surrounding our relationship. After much thought, reflection, and conversations, we have mutually decided to part ways and end our marriage.”
They admitted that they had hoped to share the news in their own time, but the media’s early coverage pushed them to speak up sooner. “While we had hoped to share this news at a time that felt right for us, the unfortunate early release by the media has prompted us to speak sooner than we had planned.”
Even though their marriage is coming to an end, Stephanie and Hungani made it clear that their friendship will continue, especially for the sake of their daughter. “Though our marriage is ending, our friendship is not. We are committed to showing up as a united team for our beautiful daughter, raising her with the same care, intention, and joy she has always known.”
They also thanked their supporters: “We’re incredibly grateful for the love and support you’ve shown us—especially through The Ndlovus Uncut.”
They ended their statement by asking for privacy during this difficult time: “During this deeply personal time, we kindly ask for privacy, grace, and compassion for our family. With love and gratitude, Hungani & Stephanie.”
According to City Press, things between the two stars started going downhill in October 2024, when Hungani reportedly moved out of their shared home. A source close to the couple revealed that on 9 June 2025, they signed a settlement agreement. The agreement outlines how they will divide their property and finances, including debts and inheritance matters.
The report also states: “There is currently one asset owned by both parties in the form of immovable property. Hungani shall be liable for any amounts outstanding in respect of any movable property incurred during the marriage.” Stephanie has agreed to sign all necessary documents and hand over the property to Hungani.
Fans first fell in love with the couple when they appeared together on the hit TV show Scandal!, where Hungani played Romeo and Stephanie played Ingrid. Their real-life romance began on set, although it wasn’t a typical love-at-first-sight story. Stephanie once revealed on their YouTube channel that she originally thought Hungani was too young for her—and even tried to set him up with her cousin!
Now, as their love story comes to a close, the couple has chosen honesty, maturity, and respect in how they’ve handled their separation—hoping to focus on co-parenting and healing in private.
