Investigation Underway After Three Police Constables Found Dead at Hennops River
The probe into the deaths of three police constables—Keamogetswe Buys (30), Boipelo Senoge (20), and Cebekhulu Linda (24)—continues, South African Police Service (SAPS) confirms.

The officers disappeared on 23 April 2025. Their bodies were later retrieved from the Hennops River in Centurion, Tshwane.
Brigadier Athlenda Mathe, a SAPS spokesperson, said both internal and external specialists have submitted preliminary reports, as per standard procedure. The preliminary post-mortem reports are in, but the final reports—covering blood alcohol levels, toxicology, and histology—are still outstanding.
Mathe emphasized that all scientific and forensic evidence must be considered together before the investigation can conclude. She noted that while the SAPS accident expert report has been completed, it is not decisive on its own. Because several reports are pending and certain examinations rely on external specialists, it is currently impossible to predict when the investigation will be finalized.
Despite this, she affirmed that the matter is progressing and that SAPS is applying full expertise to ensure a credible and thorough outcome. She also stressed sensitivity to the case, given its impact on the constables’ families, their colleagues, and the public.
