KING MSWATI MARRIES 16TH WIFE

Former South African President Jacob Zuma became King Mswati’s 16th father-in-law in July this year.

The 56-year-old monarch’s latest wife is 21-year-old Nomcebo Zuma, who is the daughter of fellow polygamist Jacob Zuma.

TimesLIVE reports that Mswati’s majesty sent a delegation to Nkandla to present the Nkandla Crooner with 10 cattle as part of the ukucela customary practice that marks the beginning of lobola negotiations.

Three independent sources confirmed to the publication that King Mswati was expected to pay R2 million and 100 head of cattle as lobola for Nomcebo. The 21-year-old is the daughter of Zuma and Nonkululeko Hloniphile Mhlongo, also known as MaMhlongo.

The former president was reportedly not there to welcome them as he wasn’t happy by the idea of Mswati as a son-in-law.

Zuma mistakenly thought the king was inviting his daughter for the purpose of marrying her off to one of his sons when Nomcebo frequently visited Eswatini.

Sunday World reveals that Zuma apparently boycotted the ceremony when he found out his daughter was marrying the king.

The publication adds that MaMhlongo, who has two children with the former president, apparently told everyone that the negotiations would go on with or without him.
