“We had a great conversation, and he also wished me great luck for the awards and my nomination,” she shared.

To her surprise, fate stepped in again on her return journey.

“We bumped into him again upon our return back to South Africa, on the same flight again, but this time I had the award with me,” she wrote with joy.

Khumalo described the encounter as a full-circle moment and a deep honour, saying it was special to show President Ramaphosa the award and how well South Africa was represented on the global stage.

“Thank you for your kind words Mr President. I don’t take the honour of representing my country in something I’m so passionate about lightly,” she concluded.

Fans and fellow stars have since flooded her comment section with congratulatory messages, praising both her achievement and her humility.
