Missing teen found: Pub’s secrets exposed

THE Daveyton Crime Alert (DCA) took it upon themselves to look for the missing teenage girl.

They found the 15-year-old girl at a flat in Benoni, Ekurhuleni and she’s now back with her parents.

But what they discovered shocked them.

They discovered that the pub recruits young girls to entertain older men, and they allegedly end up in bed with them.

The woman believed to be recruiting these young girls for a local pub was apprehended by DCA members, narrowly escaping an angry crowd on Monday, 19 May.

Residents, including one angry mum, voiced their fury, accusing the woman of “corrupting innocent young girls” and turning them into “young sex workers”.

The alleged recruiter reportedly confessed to the community that her role was to bring young girls to entertain older men, who would then “buy” them for sex.

One of the girls involved corroborated this.

“We are given free booze, and ours was to dance to attract male customers into the pub,” she said.

Community leader Jane Magagula said that these girls would fill a taxi to go to the pub, expressing anger that they were sleeping with men old enough to be their fathers.

“We are shocked, and we wish Benoni police could do something about this,” she said.

Benoni police spokeswoman Captain Nomsa Sekele has committed to investigating the matter.

However, Constable Princess Dlongolo, acting spokeswoman for Daveyton cops, stated that they were not aware of the incident as it had not been officially reported to them.
