“Mo Flava Breaks His Silence: Why He No Longer Wears His Wedding Ring 💍😲”

During a recent interview, Relebogile Mabotja asked fellow radio personality Mo Flava why he no longer wears his wedding ring.

“Rings get lost. They do,” he said. “Ask any married person and they’ll tell you rings get lost,” he told Relebogile.

In 2020, Mo Flava announced that he had married his longtime girlfriend, Mbali Cele.

Speaking on Podcast and Chill, Mo Flava also shared how he first met Mbali at a Rock The Girls party.

These parties were hosted by MacG and Mo Flava during their early days in radio.

“Rock The Girls was crazy because it started out as just lingo,” he said. “The meaning extended to many different things. We started using this phrase on air, and it started to catch on. Listeners were vibing. It was right around the time when Facebook was starting to kick in here in South Africa.”

He also reflected on how social media helped them grow the brand at the time.

“Social media became a great platform for us to build momentum. Our first party was in Fourways, and the club was already full by 7pm. I remember Selimathunzi was even there, covering the party,” Mo Flava recalled.
