MZANSI actress Gail Mabalane is celebrates a major international milestone.

This is after the second season of Unseen earned a spot on the Netflix Global Top 10 list.
The 40-year-old star, who made her acting debut in 2011 as Lelo Sedibe in The Wild, has become one of the most respected performers in the industry.
Over the years, Gail has taken on powerful roles, including her part in the hit series Blood & Water, where she plays Thandeka Khumalo, a role that has introduced her to a growing global audience.
Her lead performance in Unseen has recently taken centre stage.
She plays Zenzile “Zenzi” Mwale, a quiet maid whose desperate search for her missing husband pulls her into a dangerous criminal underworld.
Her powerful performance in the second season has also contributed to the show, ranked among the most-watched English-language series on Netflix worldwide.
“For the week of 5 to 11 May 2025, Unseen Season 2 made the prestigious Netflix Global Top 10 list, ranking at number 7 for English shows.”
She said it wasn’t just the new season making headlines.
The first season of Unseen has also climbed the charts again.
“But the winning doesn’t stop there. Season 1 has re-entered the chart, ranking number 8 globally,” she said.
The actress credited the entire behind-the-scenes team for the success.
“A huge shoutout to the entire Unseen team. To my incredible cast members, awesome crew, our out-of-this-world directors, the mind-blowing writing team, talented post-production team, and, of course, our producers. Wow! A dream team!” she said.
Gail’s role in Unseen marks a career-defining moment.
From her early days as an Idols SA finalist to a lead actress on two of Netflix’s most-watched Mzansi series.
“Always give your best. God is faithful to do the rest,” she said.
Beyond her career, Gail is also known for her marriage to Kabelo Mabalane, a former kwaito star and TKZee member, who was ordained as a Rhema Bible Church pastor in 2019.
The couple tied the knot in 2013 and have two kids together.
