Nadia Nakai Confirms Secret Surgery to Enhance Her Figure

South African rapper Nadia Nakai has admitted to undergoing surgery to achieve her stunning new figure, joining a growing list of celebrities who have chosen to transform their bodies. The news first broke on 11 September 2025, after a viral clip surfaced showing Nadia sharing the truth with her family.

The Naa Mean hitmaker revealed that she kept the procedure a secret from her loved ones because she feared being judged or worryibg them. Nadia explained that a nurse moved in with her during recovery to make sure she was comfortable. “The nurse brought me back and stayed with me for four days to make sure I’m fine, even feeding me,” she shared.

She was also open about why she went under the knife. “I’m not trying to stress my family out over trivial things. I’d rather talk to them about going to the hospital for a serious thing,” Nadia said. “I’m not trying to stress out my family because I got my butt done. This is just so I look good on Instagram, on stage, and in photoshoots. It’s not that serious; it’s definitely a vain procedure.”

Nadia’s honesty comes at a time when many public figures are speaking openly about cosmetic surgeries. Popular influencer and DJ Cyan Boujee has also been vocal about her journey. She revealed that her decision to undergo a Brazilian Butt Lift was inspired by her idol, Cardi B. “I did my BBL because I just definitely wanted to. I had a lady I looked up to, and I just knew that one day I wanted to look like her,” she said during an appearance on The L-Tido Podcast.

Cyan previously spent R58,000 in Turkey on gastric sleeve surgery, which helped her lose 25kg in six months. She celebrated her progress online, but admitted that the weight loss left her with sagging breasts. To boost her confidence, she later underwent a breast lift in Durban. “I’m just getting my boobs lifted up so they are upright and pointy,” she explained.

Reality TV star Nozipho Ntshangase from The Mommy Club also shared her journey, saying her liposuction and tummy tuck were part of her self-love process. “After having my last three kids and just going through things in general, I struggled with loving myself and my confidence just went down the drain,” she said.

Similarly, Uthando Nes’thembu alum Vuyokazi Nciweni chose surgery after struggling with weight loss. She underwent gastric sleeve surgery and later a mommy makeover in Turkey, sharing her experience openly with her followers. “I’ve tried everything; eating proper foods and all of that, but it has become very unhealthy for me,” she admitted.
