Rip…. Nine people, mostly mothers, die in KZN crash on Mother’s Day…

A devastating collision between a truck and a Light Delivery Vehicle (LDV) transporting passengers has claimed multiple lives on the N2 highway near Empangeni this morning. KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service personnel responded promptly to the scene where they found that eight occupants had already succumbed to their injuries before emergency services arrived. Paramedics immediately rendered medical assistance to sixteen injured survivors. Four occupants sustained critical injuries while twelve others were seriously injured. All injured patients received medical treatment and have been transported to nearby hospitals for further care. The cause of the collision is under investigation by local authorities. Nine people have died and several others were injured in an accident along the N2 After Mthunzini Toll Plaza in KwaZulu-Natal. It’s understood that a tow truck struck the rear end of a minibus which was transporting 24 Zion Christian Church (ZCC) members. The congregants were travellign to Dukuduku in Mtubatuba. The provincial transport department said it was engaging family and church members of the deceased.
