PICS: Durban July 2025 in Full Swing – Fashion, Glam & Celebs Take Over the Track!
DURBAN was the place to be this weekend.
Thousands of entertainment lovers, fashion lovers and punters gathered at the Hollywoodbets Greyville Racecourse in Durban, KZN for 129 editions of the iconic Hollywoodbets Durban July (HDJ) on Saturday, 5 July.
This year’s iconic event, which attracts many people across the country and other countries, was themed Marvels of Mzansi. The weather was good for the event despite the cold and rain in Durban the day before on Friday, 4 July.

Hollywoodbets Greyville Racecourse was divided into two. The first side was where the punters were watching and betting for their favourite horses in different races. The second side was for entertainment and fashion.
In the second side there were luxury private fenced marquees with a number of top celebrities, with performances by musicians.

Mzansi celebs including Kwesta, Big Zulu, Khosi Twala, Senzo Radebe, DJ Tira, DJ Sbu, Jub Jub, AmaZulu FC boss Sandile Zulu and many more were in different marquees. Kwesta and his wife Yolanda Mvelase were dressed by Styled by Eric, DJ Tira was dressed by House of Ole, Khosi Twala was dressed by Sihle Zanele, while Senzo Radebe was dressed by House of Ntu.
DJ Tira made a grand entrance and was followed by his wife Gugu Khathi to DJ Tita’s marquee, Afrotainment marquee.
Tira, whose real name is Mthokozisi Khathi, said this year’s Durban July was a blessing for him because his marquee was attended by his parents for the first time.
