Their reality show, Uthando Nes’thembu, has been nominated for the Simon Mabhunu Sabela KZN Film and Television Awards.

Uthando Nes’thembu Season 8 is competing against Real Housewives of Durban season four and Icala season two.

Mseleku told Daily Sun that the family is very proud of the work they have done.

“I believe they deserve each and every single nomination that comes their way.

Uthando Nes’thembu has been produced by different production companies who had a duty to forward it for nomination, I guess we can thank the Thanx Ma Production for supplying all the necessary information to qualify for the nominations,” he said.

Uthando Nes’thembu is about Mseleku’s polygamous life started in 2017 on Mzansi Magic and it has been showing Mzansi what is happening inside his dramatic polygamy.

His show recently ended dramatic Season 8 which left many people wanting to watch more about his situation after he survived a stroke, introduced wife number five, Samke Khwela, and other wives Mbali “MaNgwabe” Mseleku and Nokukhanya “MaYeni” Mseleku threatened to leave.

Many people are asking themselves about the show’s future after it divided Mzansi as some people thought it was misrepresenting Zulu culture’s ways of polygamy while others thought the show was educational.

Asked if the show is coming back for Season 9, Mseleku said it will depend on Mzansi Magic.

“Mzansi Magic holds the rights to discuss their future plans. I don’t make that call,” he said.

Although his show’s Season 8 achieved big when he managed to finally introduce Samke, Mseleku faced huge challenges, suffering from a stroke, dealing with the wives who rejected wife number five while others threatened to leave him.

Mzansi was shocked and divided when they watched him crying when he failed to stop his wives’ verbal fight instead of standing and stopping the fight.

Some sympathised with him, while others just laughed at him.
