Refilwe Modiselle Melts Hearts with Emotional Birthday Message to Her Sister Bontle

South African model, actress, and radio host Refilwe Modiselle warmed hearts online after sharing a touching birthday message for her younger sister, Bontle Modiselle.
The proud big sister posted a stunning photo of the two on Instagram, celebrating Bontle’s special day with a heartfelt message that left fans emotional.
“When God brought you to this earth today years ago, @bontle.modiselle, He knew that I would need you for the rest of my life!!!” Refilwe wrote. “I’m proud to call you ngwana mme, my lifeline, the ‘yonke into’ to us. I marvel at the incredible gem you are & still being refined. It’s been an honour being your sister. And I’d take a bullet for you any day, any time because of the unconditional love, support & respect you’ve given me! HAPPY BIRTHDAY love of my life… the 2nd womb divider but the number one most beautiful soul! GOD CONTINUE TO FILL YOUR CUP WITH AN OVERFLOW OF BLESSINGS.”
The sweet message quickly caught the attention of fans, who couldn’t help but praise the sisters for their strong bond.

In response, Bontle was clearly moved by her sister’s love and replied, “OMG!!! I’m out of words, but I’ll call you to cry and stuff. I love you with all of me, bestie.”
The Modiselle sisters — Refilwe, Bontle, and their other sister, television presenter Candice Modiselle — are one of Mzansi’s most loved celebrity families, known for their close relationship and individual achievements in the entertainment industry.
Adding to the celebration, Refilwe also has her own reason to be proud. On October 4, 2025, she received a major honour at the South Africa Fashion Awards, where she was recognised for her Outstanding Contribution to Fashion 2025.
“A life lived with evolution & reinvention & 20+ years later… my first Honorary Award of this degree from the first annual @southafricafashionawards in partnership with @worldfashionawards for my ‘Outstanding Contribution to Fashion 2025,’ acknowledging my contribution as a pioneer as ‘Africa’s first successful model with albinism,’” she shared proudly.
